Behind the Order: What Corporate Gifting Fulfillment Looks Like at MIAAKA?
Not every box that leaves our workshop is headed to a single doorstep. Sometimes, it's headed to fifty of them, all on the same day, all needing to arrive looking exactly the way they were meant to.
That was the case with a recent corporate gifting project we took on. The label printer barely stopped that week. But these weren't labels for individual online orders; they were part of a bulk corporate dispatch, where our client handed us their entire customer list and asked us to take it from there: pack, label, and ship each gift directly to their end recipients.
It's a different kind of order. And it's one of our favourite kinds to work on.
More Than Just "Send the Gifts"
When a business chooses candles as their gifting product, they're usually picturing the unboxing moment, the glow, the fragrance, the "wow, this is nice" reaction from a client or employee. What they don't always picture is everything that has to happen before that moment. Someone has to get that exact gift, packed exactly right, to that exact address, without the sender ever touching it.
For this particular order, the brief was simple to say and a little more involved to execute: ship directly to individual customers, on the client's behalf, so the whole thing feels seamless on their end.
The gift itself was built around our signature urli collection, a hamper featuring two Royal Urlis with flower toppers and one of our Timeless Urli candles, all presented together in a premium gift box. Urli candles have a way of feeling both traditional and elevated at once, which makes them a natural fit for corporate gifting: they read as thoughtful rather than generic, and they suit almost any recipient, from a long-time client to a new hire.
What Happens Between "Order Placed" and "Gift Delivered"

Packing for transit, not just presentation, because a gift that looks perfect in the workshop still needs to survive the journey

Dispatching directly to each end customer, so our client never has to touch a single box
It sounds straightforward written out like this. In practice, it's the kind of work where the actual craft is in not making a mistake, because with dozens of recipients, there's no room for a mismatched label or a missed address.
We Become an Invisible Extension of Our Client's Brand
Here's the part that doesn't always get talked about in corporate gifting: when we handle direct dispatch like this, MIAAKA isn't the brand the recipient sees. Our client is. The gift box, the labelling, the delivery experience, all of it needs to feel like it came straight from them, even though we're the ones behind the scenes making it happen.
That's a quiet kind of responsibility.
